Alexis is a self-help writer, speaker, and entrepreneur.

A former lawyer, Alexis has been called “the self-help voice of her generation,” and is the co-founder of the national event initiative, Elevate. She is at work on her first book and contributes personal essays to publications including Forbes.com and Cosmopolitan magazine, and blogs for The Huffington Post. You can also find her writing for Women’s Media Center, Hello Giggles, Women’s eNews, Runner’s World online, and others.

Alexis is a cast member of the upcoming Oprah Winfrey Network television show, One. She makes regular appearances on local and national radio shows, including NPR, and is a speaker and workshop leader. She will be speaking at this year’s Pennsylvania Conference for Women, Texas Conference for Women, and Massachusetts Conference for Women. She is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Law School and a California attorney.

When Alexis isn’t pounding the pavement for Elevate, you can find her jogging to the Golden Gate Bridge,  knee deep in a novel, running around New York City with friends.

Alexis lives in San Francisco.
